The fly is alive

Back from Cleveland, a nice trip and we sure enjoyed exploring the Cleveland area.  The guys live just a couple of blocks from the lake (in fact we saw it from the front sidewalk of their apartment) and a very nice state park area.  We saw the ice just breaking up and floating out from the shoreline, and downtown Cleveland could be seen from here as well.  The neighborhood is old and grand - beautiful big houses along with an assortment of brown brick apartment buildings.  There are stores and restaurants within easy walking distance - we ate at one place called "The Tick-Tock Tavern"!  The drive takes about five hours from our door to theirs, not too bad.

What about the fly, you ask?  A housefly was buzzing around just outside the kitchen window this afternoon, then stopping to sun himself on the brick window sill...a sure sign of spring!!
