A Quiet Day

The tsumani is yesterday's news, no damage, no real story at all!  Which is good.  Quite exciting while it lasted, but glad that everything is over and things are back to normal.

Today has been very quiet by contrast.   We had a nice breakfast and afterwards headed to Queen Emma's Summer Palace.  But as we drove nearer, it became apparent that the rain in the hills was there to stay!  So we decided to keep that outing for another day, and drove on back to Waikiki.  We took care of the rest of our shopping - coffee to bring home with us, some souveniers for the girls, and mostly browsing in a few stores.  The highlight of the day was the 5 o'clock arrival at The Chart House!  Our friendly waitress was Deedee, an old friend of Steve's folks, who took care of our food and drink with amazing efficiency.  Enjoyable as always over there.  We left just in time to see our ninth consecutive tropical sunset....only four more to look forward to!
