Shared birthdays
On the Writer's Almanac today I learned that these three prolific and widely popular authors share the same birthday
J.R.R. Tolkien ~ H.G. Wells ~ Stephen King
If this is your birthday, and you are so inclined to become an author, Go For It!! This date must hold some sort of magic for those who work with words!!

Still singing
Friday night we saw Gordon Lightfoot at the Murat. What a deal, to be nearly 70 and still perform to a full house of avid fans. We have been to his concerts half a dozen times since about 1973 and while his voice is not what it once was, it was worth the price of admission to hear him sing the Canadian Railroad Trilogy and of course Edmund Fitzgerald among many other favorites.
I think we are on a live music roll - last month Eddi Reader, this month Gordon Lightfoot, next month...well, who knows??!!
