In Her Element
Must comment on the wonderful, enthusiastic and all-around nice job Gloria is doing this week at Vacation Bible School (Fiesta!). For the 5th year in a row she has managed to oversee a most creative and fun week at church for over 70 children. When I watched her this morning conducting the closing service I could only think "What a brilliant lady!"
She deserves alot of thanks for a job well done!

Summer Slipping Away
Today was little Ella's 3rd birthday, and a reminder that with only one week of July remaining we will soon see our flowers and gardens begin to fade in the face of autumn's approach. The school children have only 3 weeks until they march back through the classroom doors. And even though I am not included in that group, it still gives me a wistful and melancholy feeling!
Still on my summer calendar are two trips to Minnesota, more gardening (half-off sales you know), some new furnishings to put into place that will be arriving from Steve's folks, and plenty of other chores and activities!

Scram Spam
While I have not posted an entry for a month, I have indeed been busy with this weblog. That is to say, I have been busy deleting spam comments by the dozens. Nearly every day there are 10 or more (once there were about 40) spam comments awaiting an ok which of course I do not give them. Nice try spampersons, but such mischief will not succeed on Morninglorees.
